What Inspired Jeff Bezos to Become an Entrepreneur?
Bezos was inspired by the rapid growth of the internet in the early 1990s. He saw an opportunity to create an online bookstore that could offer a much wider selection than any physical bookstore. His famous "regret minimization framework" helped him make the leap from a stable job at a hedge fund to starting his own business. This framework asked him to project himself to age 80 and minimize the number of regrets he would have. Leaving his job to start Amazon was one of those decisions.
