Litigation This is the process of taking a dispute to court. It is often the last resort when other methods of dispute resolution fail. Litigation can be time-consuming and expensive but may be necessary for serious disputes.
Arbitration A less formal process where an arbitrator hears both sides and makes a binding decision. It is generally quicker and less costly than litigation.
Mediation Involves a neutral third party who helps the disputing parties reach a mutually acceptable solution. Unlike arbitration, the mediator’s decision is not binding.
Cease and Desist A formal request to stop illegal or unethical behavior. Failure to comply can lead to further legal action.
