Eventbrite was co-founded by Renaud Visage along with Julia and Kevin Hartz in 2006. The idea was born out of the need to simplify the process of organizing events and selling tickets. At the time, there was a significant gap in the market for a user-friendly, scalable, and efficient platform to manage events. Visage’s technical expertise was instrumental in developing the technology backbone of Eventbrite, which could handle everything from ticket sales to event promotion and data analytics.
